 | The LS-9.16 controller integrates seamlessly with the flame seal machine to become the new standard in inspection controllers. The controller has 16 patterns with a large 15” remote color touch screen for easy viewing. Detection accuracy is guaranteed when running speeds of 1,000m/min (2,300 f/min) because of Leary’s patented SureScan™ and GapPro™ technologies. Jam & Overlap detection is also integral to the system along with multiple rejection options and our patented RejectTrak™ technology. The expandable LS-9.16 allows you to add inspection stations in the future as your needs change. | |

Each inspection option comes with it’s own trigger to ensure that each failure or defect is properly identified. Any sensor that detects a failure signals the rejection device. | Skewed Carton This option will detect if a carton is going through the machine straight. Sensors can see movement from side to side front to back. | Hem Cut Through This inspection station detects if the skiving operation has cut through the paper leaving a void in the hem. The sensor will measure the entire length of the hem to make sure it is the proper length without gaps. | Fitment Cut Out This sensor will detect if the fitment knockout has been removed and is cut in the correct location. This sensor also detects and measures the cut out ensuring proper location of the hole. | | | | | Hem Out This sensor configuration detect if the hem has moved out of position after the hem was folded. The sensor along the outside edge of the folded hem will monitor the fold. | Barcode The code reader monitors every carton for mixed product or barcodes that are not readable. A failure condition occurs when the code read is different than the code learned at setup. | Double Feeds The doubles fixture is set to the thickness of one carton. The fixture then detects the additional thickness of board and will reject the cartons or shut down the machine. | | | | RejectionIf an inspection station identifies a faulty carton, the controller will reject the carton further down the line. With the Max Ejector production can continue, as the faulty carton is automatically removed, at speeds of 600 meters/min. Rejection Options | |
