Short Sheet Detection

Short Sheet inspection measures the length and the width of each box. If a box does not meet specifications it will automatically be sprayed to identify it as defective.

Hanging Tab Detection

Sensors are positioned to view any scrap that may be attached to the box as it enters the gluing station.  With this detection station, you have the option of either shutting down the machine or rejecting the box.

Rejection Options

An inspection system is only as good as its ability to reject a ‘bad’ box.  Leary, with our RejectTrak™ patented technology, offers two rejection options to ensure that only good boxes get to your customers.

Spray Rejection

Identifies ‘bad’ boxes with UV fugitive spray to mark defective product for manual removal.

The Jet250™ atomizing spray head applies a mist which adheres to the spine of a box for easy visual identification in a bundle.

May be used with stack rejection.

Stack Rejection

This rejection system is used to automatically identify boxes which have been sprayed by the Jet250™.  The stack arm, which automatically moves up and down, has a UV detector on it, looking for rejected boxes which have been marked with UV material. If a defective box is detected, the controller will automatically send a signal to the stacking section allowing the bundle to be diverted so that it may be hand picked from the bundle.
